Most of traditional South Indian jewellery find their inspiration in Hindu religious sculpture. Pathakala Haaram (a multilayered long chain), Kanta Abushanam (a necklace sitting snug around the neck) and Mukku Podaka (nose ring) are some unmistakably conventional South Indian wedding ornaments.
